Rolling Outdoor Table for the Deck
Building tables with Kee Klamp pipe fittings is easy and fun to do. It's simple to create a great looking table without the need for threading or drilling. Simply cut the pipe to length, clamp on the fittings and usually within an hour you can put together a very nice looking table.
This outdoor rolling deck table was built by one of our customers and shows how amazing the outcome can be when building with Kee Klamp pipe fittings. This table design was inspired by the "Maker Table" frame. The owner also added casters to the bottom so they could roll it around the deck.
Outdoor Table Frame
To help save you some time, we have put together a kit that will help you build a outdoor table like this one. All you need to do is enter in your desired table dimensions, and all of the pipe and fittings you need will delivered to your front door.
Designing the Table Top
The table top started as a large piece of lumber from Home Grown Lumber in Conway, NH. After purchasing the large slab, it was milled to a 2" depth. Two 20-inch pieces were then glued together & metal strappings were installed on the underside and screwed into the wood in order to keep the top stable as it endures all kinds of weather. To finish the new table top, our customer chose to stain it with Cabot's Decking Stain to match the color of their deck.
This idea is great for people who want to be able to move their tables around in any space. The concept works indoors and out and is a great idea for workshops.
Kudos for a job well done! The owners of the table were kind enough to send this updated picture (shown below) after the first big snow. Kee Klamp projects have the kind of durability to resist harsh outdoor conditions!
