Mobile Clothing Racks for Paris Boutique

To begin this story, we’ll quickly hop, skip, and jump over the pond to a city and country you may have heard of called Paris, France. You know that famous city with the Eiffel Tower that just recently hosted the Olympics?

What are we doing here you may ask? Well, this is where a boutique reached out to us for assistance in redoing display racks.

A boutique in Paris?! This sounds too good to be true. I feel like Emily from Emily in Paris.

Anyways, clothing racks are our specialty, so we were eager to assist this boutique with anything they needed.

In this article, we’ll discuss our customer’s needs, how we solved their problem, and how you can get your own clothing racks for your boutique or retail store.

Upgrading Clothing Rack Displays

Merci is a Parisian boutique specializing in a variety of products for homes like clothes, bags and homeware. They value modern, affordable, and eco-friendly products.

Back in March 2024, the architect and designer of Merci boutique had been tasked with redoing their clothing rack displays.

Their current clothing racks lacked stability/durability, the style was outdated, and the layout of the boutique was changing, which meant they needed clothing racks to fit their new dimensions.

Merci had a few criteria they needed to meet when deciding on a new clothing rack system.

One was the technical aspect, could this system work with their space and be easily installed in their store.

Another was the visual aspect; would the new clothing racks match their existing aesthetic within the boutique. 

And lastly, the budget, could the clothing racks fit within their budget and get the most “bang-for-their-buck”, or I guess it would be the most “bang-for-their-euro”. 

After discussions within the team and some online research, Merci decided on Kee Klamp pipe and fittings for their new clothing racks.

Merci decided on Kee Klamp for the reasons mentioned above, but also because they valued the history of the companies they work with. They stated;

We liked Kee Klamp fittings because they are high quality and have been on the market since the 1930’s!

Customizing Mobile Clothing Racks

After coming to the decision to use Kee Klamp for their new clothing racks, Merci reached out to Simplified and connected with one our salesman to begin designing their new clothing racks. 

Merci worked with us by providing the dimensions of their space and the size of the clothing racks they were looking for. We drew up several examples with different heights and lengths until we settled on the best design for their boutique.

They wanted a mixture of racks on casters that could easily be wheeled around their boutique, and other free-standing clothing racks that can be easily lifted and moved as needed.

These types of clothing racks make for a great use of space with the freedom to move them around as needed as layouts and plans change.

We do also offer larger floor or wall-mounted clothing racks to best utilize all available space of your show floor or back-room storage.

Enough self-advertising, back to the story.

Merci also wanted to customize their clothing racks by painting them. While we do offer powder coating, Merci wanted to save some money and custom paint their fittings to match the different areas of the boutique.

That is perfectly fine by us, this is another one of the benefits of Kee Klamp fittings is that they are easily painted or colored to match your boutique’s style.

Delivering and Installing Mobile Clothing Racks

Now that we have the design and customization planned, it’s time to order Merci’s new clothing racks.

We put in the order straight away to help Merci stay on their planned timeline. Once it was received, Merci was able to assemble and install their new clothing racks in no time.

With Kee Klamp fittings, you don’t have to be an expert to properly assemble them. Kee Klamp uses a set screw design that is easily tightened down with a hex key and requires no welding!

And since Merci wanted these racks to be mobile, there’s no drilling or other larger tools needed to assemble their new clothing racks.

Once all the clothing racks were installed, Merci had this to say;
