DIY Art Show Display

Finished Art Show Display

If you're an artist, then you know how much time and effort can go into just a single art project. That being said, in order to show off all that time and effort, you'll need a great display that stands out from the crowd!

Kee Klamp fittings and pipe provide artists with a way to construct art displays that are just as versatile as they are. They allow complete customization to fit all of your needs and they are incredibly simple to use and build with.

Take Tracy's art show display for example. She is an artist from British Columbia that used Kee Klamp to construct a display for her glasswork at a Christmas craft show in Vancouver, for which she won a bronze medal out of over three-hundred different artists. She was able to easily display all of her glassworks as well as a custom banner for her company, Tracy Myerson Design.

Let's take a more in-depth look at Tracy's display and how she utilized Kee Klamp fittings to make everything come together perfectly:

Tracy's DIY Art Show Display Project Details

While Tracy's art show display most definitely has a large and complicated appearance, in actuality, only four or five different fittings are needed to pull something similar off. Tracy used live-edge shelves supported by Kee Klamp fittings to construct her display. The finished project, sans art, can be seen below.

Tracy's art show display consists of shelving and side panels to clearly present her glasswork, a banner display on the top shelf to promote her design company, and a pipe bar on one side to display custom belt buckles.

Now, let's dive into the few Kee Klamp fittings that make this entire display possible.

Fittings Used in Tracy's Art Show Display

As previously stated, Tracy's project, although large, only uses four different types of fittings. They are listed below:

The 61-6 flanges are used to mount the wooden shelves to the pipe, the 15-6 elbows are used to create the banner structure on the top of the display, the 45-6 crossover fitting is used to attach the belt buckle display bar, and the 70-6 rail supports are used to mount wooden side shelves.

It is worth noting that Tracy used size 5 fittings for her project. However, we recommend size 6 as it provides additional support if you are displaying heavier pieces of art.

Final Notes About Tracy's Project

Tracy's project is just one example of the practically endless possibilities Kee Klamp pipe and fittings provide artists. Some people even build art projects entirely made out of Kee Klamp! Tracy would like to dedicate her project to the memory of her pup, Lenny, whom she loved as much as humanly possible.
