This may be a bit much for the average DIY person, but if you’re an above average DIY master or you work as an electrician or in a tool wielding trade, this may just be the item you need at the top of your Christmas List (No seriously, don’t put it on a list, if you like it, just buy it.. but for your own sake don’t obligate someone else to get it for you… I digress). Now available from our sister site: Simplified Safety
This tool vest from Vest-Tech is a serious tool carrying piece of clothing. Made by electricians, for electricians and other trades people who are slaves to the old fashioned tool belt. The Vest-Tech tool vest makes your work more comfortable, efficient and even safer.

When you need to construct a railing on the side of a mountain, what are you going to use? Kee Klamp fittings and pipe! What else?!
Friend, David Whiting, captured these pictures of a hand railing on a trail up the Beacon Rock near North Bonneville WA. Pictures like this represent so many of the fine qualities of railings built with Kee Klamp fittings:
- Modularity - yes, you can tote it up the side of a mountain
- Durability - I can’t say how long it’s been there.. but probably a while!
- Flexibility – look at the turns in the railing curling perfectly up the path.

Months in the making and we are finally very pleased to announce the release of our new web site: simplifiedsafety.com. Simplified Safety is a site that will focus on the following product areas.
- Safety Solutions – We know the people are looking for more than just products. There is a need for safety product providers, but also experts who can help people decide which safety solutions will work best in their particular context. Our solution assistance is focused on exactly that.
- Fall Protection Products – Over the years we have noticed that people are coming to us for railings to protect their workers from dangerous falls. We hope to focus and drive people towards fall prevention products such as railings, guardrails, skylight screens and other barrier methods whenever possible. In addition to this we will be offering a line of fall arrest and fall restraint equipment such as harnesses, lanyards, retractables, anchor points, and more.
- Personal Protection Equipment – PPE is the equipment that is worn by the working individual to protect them while working in a dangerous environment. These kinds of products include: eye protection, head protection, ear protection, hand protection, high visibility clothing and so much more.
- We are adding more products daily, so please check out our site. If you are a safety product provider, feel free to contact us and we may consider carrying your product as well.
Why did we build Simplified Safety?
We found that we were focusing more and more on safety products and solutions. It started when one of our main companies that we distribute for transitioned to become a safety company. We followed suit with this additional site to focus on safety products. We built Simplified Safety to provide more focused education and products to our customers. Read more about the new company.
What will happen to Simplified Building?
Don’t worry, Simplified Building Concepts is here to stay. In fact we hope to be more focused in a couple of areas once we transition all of our safety products to the new safety web site: 1) We want to bring back the focus on projects and DIY. That’s where SBC has its roots, and we don’t intend to lose that spirit. We’re hoping to regain some ground that might have been lost in adding safety products to this site. 2) Add more products that embody the basic building blocks of construction and modular building. 3) SBC needs and upgrade. We get so many compliments on our site already, but one thing you’ll notice about Simplified Safety is that it’s so much better. We hope to bring Simplified Building up to the same level as the new site takes root and bears fruit.
Many thanks to our customers
We really appreciate our customers and we hope that this will serve you better as we launch this new site that is specifically focused on safety products: Simplified Safety.

Providing safe entrance and exit for designated areas is an important part of worker safety. A safety gate lets the worker know when they are entering and existing a safe zone. Our Safety Gates are now available in custom sizes and configurations. If you need a custom gate, please contact our sales engineers for more assistance.

BBC News released a video on their web site covering some of the ins and outs of UK’s famous Pinewood Movie Studio. As Andrew Smith talks about the famous 007 stage set (the largest in Europe) he walks right past a KeeGuard Fall Protection System being used to keep people back from the ledge of the stage.
This is just another way that the KeeGuard counterbalanced hand railing is being used (outside of rooftop fall protection) to keep people separated from hazards.

Kee Safety has released a new warning line that utilizes some pipe, a few fittings and recycled rubber bases to create a system that meets OSHA safety standards.
As with many of Kee Safety's products, the focus is on modularity and durability. Each component is very durable:
- Galvanized Steel Fittings
- Galvanized Rubber Bases
- Stainless Steel Cable & Connectors
- Vinyl Coated Cable
- High Quality Warning Flags
This is not a system that you will have to replace year after year.
Extension kits are available so that you can extend the base kit to any length and configuration.

The warehouse environment is full of hazards. One of the many hazards that plant managers need to be aware of is protecting walking workers from workers operating material handling equipment such as pickers and forklifts.
A recent customer utilized our Kwik Kit Safety Rail product to provide a safe right of way to pedestrians walking near utility vehicles in the warehouse.
Here is the scenario BEFORE the Kwik Kit Safety Rail was installed:
No physical barrier to protect the worker. Only a visual barrier of cones was present to designate the walkway.

Here is the scenario AFTER the Kwik Kit Safety Railing was installed:
Workers clearly separated from hazards. Workers are clearly aware of when they were leaving the "safe zone" via the self closing safety gate.

Sometimes we have the privilege of visiting the facilities that have utilized some of our our safety products. Below are some pictures of a safety rail on a ramp and a safety gate.
Ramp Safety Rail
The handrail here is used to protect the side of the ramp. This rail has a unique feature: the top of the rail bends ninety degrees to protect people from the corner of the loading dock. This rail reflects some of the unique configurations that can be built using Kee Klamp fittings.

Safety Gate
This safety gate was used to protect the entrance to an open elevator shaft. There used to be a “fence” the slid up and down to protect the area. The gate has spring loaded hinges so it will close automatically (not leaving it to the worker to create a safe environment).
