Pipe Tables for the Home

Home. Your place of safety, comfort, and where you can express your creativity the most. Your personal space to decorate however you want; rooms you can outfit with meaningful artwork and furniture with character.

One of our favorite parts of this job is when customers “invite” us into their homes to help turn their pipe furniture ideas into reality. Here are a few stories from some creative customers who built pipe tables for specific rooms in their home.

The Kitchen

Not enough counter space? Why not create your own? A kitchen island outfitted with pipe and Kee Klamp fittings is a perfect solution for that extra cooking space you need...especially if it rolls!

Ben from Louisiana built this stunning kitchen island to stand in his son’s new condo. He mixed old with new, by fastening galvanized pipe to a tabletop made of 700 year old sinker cypress wood. The result-- an industrial table with rich history.

"The space needed to be optimized, so I wanted to ensure the table could be rolled out of the way when not being used. The condo has a retro / industrial motif and already had been designed with other reclaimed wood accents, some that were supported by galvanized pipe. Your products fit perfectly with that design." - Ben, Louisiana

THE DINING ROOM

Pipe dining room tables are a favorite among our customers. Because pipe and Kee Klamp fittings are so versatile, every handmade pipe table ends up being different from the rest. So everyone wins!

Do you have a big family to serve or love hosting large parties?  How about a table that can seat 10! Cole built a 10 foot dining room table so everyone could be together.

"My favorite part about your products was how easy it was to assemble. It seemed much easier than trying purchase and cut the materials myself...and it was."- Cole, New York

Cristian from Quebec had a similar idea to fit more people around the dinner table. Cristian used galvanized pipe and Kee Klamp fittings to create an expandable one.

THE LIVING ROOM

There is something so delightful about sitting in your living room with family and friends around a good coffee table. Pipe coffee tables make the right statement in any cozy living room.

For his coffee table, Bob used a piece of slate he kept for 30 years as the table top. Coupled with galvanized pipe and Kee Klamp fittings, his custom piece will last for years! Here's what Bob had to say:

"We are building a contemporary retirement house, and the galvanized pipe and Kee Klamp fittings seemed to be a perfect compliment for that style. We loved how easy it was to put together. It only took 2 hours from start to finish."

We previously wrote about Keren’s aged metal and oak coffee table, and it’s definitely worth mentioning again because of her clever DIY skills. Its size and design match the surrounding hardwood floors and leather decor perfectly. Find out what at-home remedy was used to “age” the tabletop and the fittings to build your own here.

"We remodeled our basement adding a wet bar in the family room, and wanted to add additional seating for the bar area. We could not find anything we liked in a furniture store, so building custom fit our needs best. The Simplified Building Rugged kit best suited our needs for holding a heavy slab of refinished fir wood. The adjustability was great for leveling out the table on our sloped basement floor, as well as positioning the lower support bar for a foot rest." - Eric, Oregon

THE LAUNDRY ROOM

Charlene and her husband had the brilliant idea of designing a table for their laundry room. For the tabletop, they used wine bottle corks finished with glass tops and tile. Having a table that looks like this makes folding laundry a lot more fun!

"We did a web search for pipe shelving which eventually brought us to your website. Then we thought of this concept for our laundry table. Your fittings made our project possible, whereas conventional pipe fittings are very limited.” - Charlene, Florida

The best part of DIY tables are the stories behind each design. Whether you use reclaimed wood from your grandfather’s barn, mosaic tile you found at a salvage store, or a piece of slate you’ve had in your garage, pipe and Kee Klamp fittings can be used to complete your story.
