Industrial Console Table Built with Barn Board and Pipe

Industrial Console Table

Console tables are great for holding lamps or other small decorative items next to a wall. Bob from Morristown, New Jersey built himself a console table with some reclaimed wood and industrial pipes. He discovered Simplified Building and Kee Klamp fittings and built the console table pictured above.

Here is what Bob had to say about his project:

I wanted a rustic style table . I had found some hair pin legs at a junk store for the true base but they were only 8" tall and obviously a console table has to be bigger. I wanted to use pipe but did not want to use typical plumbing fixtures and deal with thread showing etc. Kee Klamp fittings were perfect because they allowed me to make sure the table looked clean and I could adjust the height to be level really easily. I love these clamps!

Bob discovered a number of the great qualities of working with Kee Klamp fittings. Because the pipe attaches to the fitting with a mechanical fastener instead of threads, it is much easier to adjust the individual supports to ensure that the table will be level. Additionally, Kee Klamp creates a clean industrial look that is being used in all kinds of modern furniture creations.

The fittings used in this project were eight type 61-6 flange. The pipe was 1" galvanized pipe that was cut to suit the height of the table.
