Building Fishing Weirs in the Alaskan Interior

Alaskan Fishing Weir

Constructing anything in the middle of Alaska can be especially difficult. Never mind the weather, just getting the right materials transported to the proper location can require logistic super powers. Kee Klamp fittings are small, portable pipe fittings, that create connections that have the strength of a weld. When needing to rebuild some fishing weirs that were washed away by a flood, the Alaska Fish & Game department turned to Kee Klamp fittings to help build them. The fishing weir's were formed with three C50 Single Swivel Socket fittings to create independent triangles. These triangles were then connected with boards and the weir fencing.
