Kee Klamp Railing Tagged in Parkour Locations

3275819200_7a85615de8_o

Tyson from Parkour Visions pointed out this flickr pool that had some Kee Klamp railings that were tagged as Parkour training locations.  Parkour is an intense sport that uses everyday objects such as railings and walls as the context for an extreme workout of body and coordination.

Check out some of the other things that have been constructed with Kee Klamp for Parkour:

Use Kee Klamp Fittings to Build a Freerunning / Parkour Structure

ScreenShot

Recently the 2009 World Championship for Freerunning / Parkour were held in Great Britain.  One of the things I noticed was that most of the tubular structures on the stage were constructed of Kee Klamp fittings.  Freerunning appears to be an emerging urban athletic movement.  If you’re a Freerunner, check out our fittings when building structures to swing, hang and hover on.

Museum Installation Displays and Structures

I was recently on vacation with my family.  While on vacation we visited a number of museums.  One was the Mt. Washington Observatory Museum in North Conway, NH the other was the Children’s Museum in Boston, MA.  In both places I saw Kee Klamp like fittings used to design structures of various shapes and sizes.  Below are a few examples of how people are using fitting for designing museum installations.  Click on the pictures below for more information about each piece.  You can also see the whole collection by clicking here.

Building with PVC - Child’s Play!

After getting back from the Maker Faire we had a whole box of PVC fittings and pipe.  Once I saw it I knew my kids would love it.  So I let them loose on a pile of PVC pipe and fittings.  They loved it!  So on top of building structures for use in and around the home a set of fittings and pipe would make a great child’s play kit!

Soccer Goal (SketchUp)

Here is a Soccer Goal made with Kee Klamp pipe fittings. There are several advantages of this configuration. 1) You can break it down and set it up. 2) You can effectively make the goal any size you like by varying the pipe lengths. This solution would work as a permanent or temporary solution. If you're interested in using this type of design to build a sporting enclosure of any type please contact us. You can download the SketchUp file of this setup from the Project Page. You can find netting for this type of soccer frame at Seamar.com.

Sports Enclosures

Damian Rispoli used Kee Klamp fittings, some pipe and sports netting to make an enclosure / backstop for this sports area in the back of his home. Kee Klamp fittings make it possible for you to build large structures like this one without the need for professional assistance. They obtained their sports mesh online through Seamar.com. If you are interested in building a sports enclosure like the one below please contact us and we will provide the assistance you need to get the job done.
